The AP reports that a federal appeals court has decided against the FCC’s claim that it has the authority to impose net neutrality obligations on carriers and service providers. I’m guessing (hoping) that this will be appealed. In any case, I’ll have further analysis on what this means for the National Broadband Plan.
Updated: The FCC released a very short statement about the ruling. It’s looking more like the FCC will go to Congress to obtain specific authority for network neutrality. This decision will not be appealed.
