Data journalists, coders, and designers will be re-convening for another edition of Hack Jersey. Teams will meet at Montclair State University’s Center for Cooperative Media. The theme this year is “Making Journalism Better Through Data, Code and Play.”
Those at the first Hack Jersey event in 2013 will remember the student hackers were whizzes at pulling stories out of spreadsheets. Who can forget Crashdatanj’s winning presentation based on accident data for our beloved Garden State Parkway?
Teams will meet the morning of Saturday March 28, hack, break for a party at 7 PM, and then return on Sunday to finish up their projects. Still time to sign up—free for students, $15 for everyone else.
And don’t forget to fill out the skills assessment to help make the team assignment processes easier.
