Did you know there’s a Kickstarter page devoted to projects launched by NYU Game Center students? Game Center kids have a pretty good track record in getting funded. There’s Afterland, which describes itself as “free-to-play mobile card game in development about a carnival of magical misfits searching for their lost souls in the afterlife”. They brought in over $35,000 (!) in pledges and more than met their goals.
I was mesmerized by Scale, which is a first person reality game, that’s currently seeking $87,000. Their promotional video is worth a viewing just to experience its eery worlds-within-worlds reality.
They have some exciting news to share: if they reach their goal, Sony may potentially bring Scale to PS4!
