Unfortunately, TvB wasn’t able to visit TechCrunch Disrupt on Wednesday to witness teeny drones buzzing around Extreme Fliers‘ booth. This London-based company is completely focused on remote controlled flying toys. Since their founding in 2007 by RC toy advocate Vernon Kerswell, this startup has released a series of consumer products, including the Terror Wasp and Robocopter. With the launch of the Micro Drone 2.0, Extreme Fliers enters the personal drone air space in the US.
The Micro Drone 2.0 is a palm-sized quadcopter that will retail for under $100. For an additional $35, the Drone can be fitted with a micro camera (HD 720px). Kerswell is running an initial production run of 500 drones. You can pre-order at their site till the end of May for a July delivery date.
TechCrunch has a great video of Micro Drone performing its aerial tricks,
