What is blerdology? It’s a couple of things. It’s a social enterprise founded to promote the Black tech community. It was also formerly called #BlackGirlsHack. It’s two principals are Kat Calvin (“entrepreneur, a lawyer, a traveler, and an avid tv watcher”) and Amanda Spann (“CMO of STEM social enterprise Blerdology”). If you want a purely technical definition, here it is: “the science of Black Nerds”. And, wouldn’t you know it, blerdology also runs hackathons.
They will be hosting one in Newark, the weekend of April 6-7, at the Rutgers Business School. All are welcome to hack and get blerdy. It’s not too late to register.
