In August, we interviewed Visual.ly CEO Stew Langille to learn about his plans for an infographics marketplace. The idea was that you need an infographic but you don’t have the in-house talent to pull it off. Instead you’ll go to Visually to shop around for a virtual team that will implement your vision. Attention info shoppers: the Visual.ly Marketplace is now open for business.
I thought it was a pretty neat idea when Langille first explained it. And as someone actively involved with marketing and social media, I know that infographics has gained much needed credibility as a story telling medium.
I took a brief tour of the Marketplace, and it looks like it has something for everyone.
Here’s how it works. If you have the data and a good idea of your story, the Marketplace connects with you a designer for $1495 (18 days turnaround). If you need help in storytelling as well as finding the data to back up your graphic, the Marketplace has a second option starting at $2995 (around 26 days turnaround).
Finally, the Marketplace is looking for ace designers or developers: you can sign up with the Markerplace here.
