Based on Wednesday’s Hoboken Tech Meetup, it appears that a Hoboken coworking space is moving closer to reality.
Local entrepreneur Michael Pierce debuted the MissionFifty project, a 3000 square foot loft space. Pierce didn’t go into details, but those registering interest at his site will receive an email invitation to a happy hour in the coming weeks when more will be revealed.
Here’s some of the background behind this:
Pierce was formerly involved in the Austin startup scene, and as a new resident (just 3 months) he was looking for a share office space in Hoboken for his own projects.
After meeting with Aaron Price (HTM’s founder) and another business person, Pierce realized they had a common vision for spurring entrepreneurship in the area.
The word about their coworking plans spread through tweets and emails and encouraged by the feedback, they decided to go ahead with the project.
Let’s wish them luck, and if you know of anyone on this side of the Hudson looking for entrepreneurial-infused office space, steer them to MissionFifty.
