Mobixa will price your out-dated and possibly damaged iPhone and then remind you when to sell it to take maximum advantage of your contract options. You tell them your current carrier and model along with details about the carrier’s contract, the desired phone (even if from a different carrier), and they’ll ping you by email with your gadget’s market value.
When the time is right, they’ll email you a shipping label. You box up your phone, and after they inspect the iPhone, they’ll cut you a check, which you can then use towards your new phone. Mobixa, which has roots as a phone refurbisher, is only buying iPhones with Samsung Galaxy S3 purchasing “coming soon”.
Though their press release doesn’t say it, Mobixa helps keep phones out of landfills and is a good sustainability choice for the eco-conscious.
