Your Party Hub Gets it Started

After just returning from a few days of vacationing, I can attest to the powerful health benefits of a good party. It relieves stress, lowers your blood pressure, boosts your immune functions, and overall just raises your mood through the roof. So you can think of Your Party Hub, a startup I first saw at NY Tech Day, as a low-cost medical plan.

Your Party Hub launched their beta version a few weeks back. Their idea is simple enough. DJs, promoters, and business venues use YPH to post their events. Party goers create their profiles and then search for events by location, date, party format, and even favorite promoter. And yes, there is a social aspect so that users of the YPH platform can follow friends to see what their party plans are and also communicate through a chat feature.

I perused YPH briefly to find beach-based parties in NJ. I couldn’t find any, which I attribute to standard cold-start problems for a new service, rather than NJ being a party-challenged place. Looking for a party this Labor Day weekend? No prob, YPH lists a bunch of events in Manhattan and the Hamptons.

YPH is free to use for party goers. They are planning an iPhone and Android app.
